On April 16 and 17, the III Portuguese Congress of Oral and Marginal Literatures (Tribute to Joaquim Moreira da Silva) will take place at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Porto.
Marking the 50th anniversary of the creation, by Arnaldo Saraiva, of the course on Oral and Marginal Literatures, the event will be held in Meeting Room 1, with free admission.
The first afternoon session of the opening day will be dedicated to the study of the work of the popular poet Joaquim Moreira da Silva (1886–1960), born in Vilar, Vila do Conde.
The congress brings together participants from almost all Portuguese universities, as well as professors and researchers from Galicia and Brazil.
