Ainara is 17 years old and lives in Bilbao, Spain, with her father and two younger sisters. She is at a decisive moment in her life. While most girls her age are trying to choose a university degree, Ainara feels an increasingly strong desire to dedicate her life to God.

When she finally reveals that she wants to become a nun, her family reacts with shock. What no one can understand is whether this desire comes from the influence of the religious school she attended, the absence of her late mother, or the lack of support from her father.

Directed by Alauda Ruiz de Azúa (Lullaby), who also wrote the screenplay, this family drama about faith and acceptance was in competition at the San Sebastián Film Festival, where it won the Golden Shell, as well as the FIPRESCI, SIGNIS, Irizar, and Feroz Zinemaldia awards.

At the 2026 Goya Awards, it won Best Film, Best Director, Best Actress (Patricia López Arnaiz), Best Supporting Actress (Nagore Aranburu), and Best Original Screenplay.
