Stéphanie, an investigator at the IGPN, the internal affairs division of the French National Police, is tasked with re-examining Case 137. The case concerns a violent incident involving rubber bullets fired by riot police at a young protester during the 2018 “Yellow Vests” movement protests in France.

As the investigation progresses, she encounters several contradictions in witness statements and significant gaps in the evidence, forcing a reassessment of conclusions previously considered definitive. However, her insistence on uncovering the truth gradually affects how she is perceived by her colleagues.

Premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and directed by Dominik Moll (The Night of the 12th), this police thriller explores violence and abuse of power. The screenplay, co-written by Moll and Gilles Marchand, is inspired by real cases. The cast includes Léa Drucker, who won the César Award for Best Actress for this role.
