CASA, by Clara Azevedo, an autobiographical visual archive about memory, identity, and belonging, is the exhibition hosted by Casa Antero de Quental starting January 31, as part of the Photography and Authors Showcase, a joint initiative by Associação CC11 and Foto VC, with the support of the Municipal Council.

This program features eight solo exhibitions highlighting established and emerging artists — Alberto Picco, Ana Baião, Clara Azevedo, Ricardo Lopes, Fernando Negreira, and Paulo Alexandrino — taking place across three emblematic venues in the city: the Vila do Conde Municipal Theatre, the Centre of Memory, and Casa Antero de Quental.

Clara Azevedo’s work is rooted in documentary photography, with a focus on preserving the collective memory of the time we live in through images. With 15 published books, her work is represented in several public and private collections in Portugal and abroad.

The opening begins at 4:00 p.m. at the Centre of Memory, with guided tours led by the artists, followed by a route through Casa Antero de Quental and the Municipal Theatre, concluding with an open dialogue session with the public.
