The Sewing Workshop – “Clothing Tuning” offers a space for collective creation, where the community is invited to transform, reinvent, and give new life to used garments, exploring the reuse of materials as an artistic and sustainable practice. Using existing clothes, fabrics, and accessories, participants work on the deconstruction and reconstruction of costumes, experimenting with colors, textures, and shapes that contribute to the visual identity of the performance.
This workshop values hands-on skills, knowledge sharing, and creative experimentation, promoting a conscious and eco-friendly approach to artistic creation. Beyond developing basic technical skills in sewing and textile transformation, the activity strengthens community involvement in costume construction, highlighting costumes as expressive and symbolic elements of staging, while reinforcing the participatory and collaborative nature of the project.
