Joe Fulton (Bill Sage), a famous retired filmmaker, decides to take a job as an assistant gardener at the local cemetery to occupy his time and spend more time outdoors. This unusual decision, combined with his constant reflections on death and the drafting of a will, leads his loved ones to suspect that he has been diagnosed with a terminal illness. Concern quickly turns into rumor and is soon taken as fact, prompting friends, family, and acquaintances to prepare for an early farewell.
