Between March 21 and April 12, Vila do Conde once again hosts the Enchanted Easter Market, an initiative that transforms Avenida Júlio Graça and its gardens into a true world of discovery, where nature, culture, and family-friendly activities come together.

With the arrival of spring, the city’s gardens open up as an invitation to contemplation and social gathering. Sunlight filters through the century-old plane trees, flowers renew the colors of the flowerbeds, and nature reveals itself in every detail — from the small insects inhabiting the gardens to the birdsong, the murmur of fountains, and the roots that sustain the city’s natural heritage.

It is within this setting that the Enchanted Easter Market comes to life — a space designed to go beyond simply celebrating the season. Here, nature is not just a backdrop but the main protagonist. Every element of the event has been conceived to respect the fragile balance that sustains the beauty of the place and to foster greater environmental awareness among visitors of all ages.

Among the highlights of this edition is the workshop “Helpers of Nature”, an educational activity promoted by the Centro Ciência Viva de Vila do Conde, the CMIA – Centro de Monitorização e Interpretação Ambiental, and the Escola Profissional de Vila do Conde. Designed especially for younger audiences, this space invites children and families to discover, in a practical and engaging way, how small actions can help protect biodiversity and care for local ecosystems.

The program also includes an Easter Egg Hunt, promising fun and a spirit of discovery for families, as well as After Market initiatives aimed at extending the visitor experience in Vila do Conde.

Another key highlight is the 1st Children and Youth Book Fair of Vila do Conde, reinforcing the cultural dimension of the event and encouraging young audiences to engage with the world of reading in a playful and creative environment.

During the school holiday period, the program also features sports and recreational activities, offering moments of fun, learning, and contact with nature.
