In a world marked by digital acceleration and polarisation, EIXO Artistic Residencies invites you to slow down and use words as a tool for reflection, identity and social engagement.
Inspired by the artistic, social and political legacy of Joaquim Moreira da Silva, known as the “Poet Carpenter”, these workshops offer a space for learning, experimentation and collective creation.
No previous experience in writing or publishing is required, just the willingness to think, create and share.
➡ Creative Writing: Exploring literary techniques such as metaphor, rhythm and intertextuality, while developing your own poetic voice around issues of identity and society, with Alexandre Sá.
➡ Independent Publishing: Learning self-publishing techniques, creating fanzines, selecting texts and designing layouts, while exploring the physical medium as a form of cultural intervention, with Gil Mac.
