The Vila do Conde Commercial and Industrial Association (ACIVC) is promoting the 8th São João Shop Window Competition, an initiative aimed at enhancing local commerce and keeping the São João tradition alive in the municipality.
The competition challenges Vila do Conde businesses to decorate their shop windows with São João-themed elements, combining creativity, local identity, and the products usually sold in each establishment.
Applications are open from 1 to 11 June 2026 and can be submitted through the ACIVC website at www.acivc.pt.
This year, five prizes will be awarded, ranging from €100 to €500, to the shop windows receiving the highest number of votes and complying with the competition rules and regulations.
The shop windows must maintain their São João decorations from 9:00 a.m. on 13 June until 11:59 p.m. on 24 June, São João Day. Photographs of the participating shop windows will be published on the ACIVC website on 19 June, when online voting will begin.
Voting will take place from 19 to 29 June 2026, and the results will be announced on the ACIVC website and social media channels on 2 July 2026.
ACIVC invites all local businesses in the municipality to take part in this initiative, helping to make Vila do Conde even more vibrant, attractive, and engaged in the spirit of the São João festivities.

Registration period: June 1 to June 11, 2026, via the ACIVC website at www.acivc.pt.
This year, five prizes will be awarded, with values ranging from €100 to €500, to the most voted shop windows that comply with the competition rules.
The decorated shop windows must remain on display from 09:00 on June 13 until 23:59 on June 24 (São João Day). Photos of the participating windows will be published on the ACIVC website on June 19, when online voting begins.
Voting will take place from June 19 to June 29, 2026, and the results will be announced on the ACIVC website and social media on July 2, 2026.
