Two hundred years later, the voice of Camilo Castelo Branco continues to echo through the pages of Portuguese literature, inviting us to rediscover the genius behind the words that have so passionately shaped our culture.

On 6 October, the Centro de Estudos Anterianos will host a gathering dedicated to the writer and thinker, featuring presentations by Ana Maria Almeida Martins, Guilherme d’Oliveira Martins, Hugo Pinto Santos, João Alves Dias, Manuela Espírito Santo, Pedro Mexia, Pedro Pascoal de Melo and Paulo Silvério e Sousa.

The event will take place at Casa Antero de Quental, just a short distance from the house where Camilo lived in Vila do Conde, exactly 155 years ago.
