From 20 to 22 May, the Casa Antero de Quental becomes both stage and inspiration for the “Hackathon InterMediArtes”, a multidisciplinary creation laboratory connecting the arts with emerging technologies.

The initiative is promoted by ESMAD – School of Media Arts and Design, within the broader programme “InterMediArtes — Media, Arts and Interaction”, which features an extensive set of activities.

This intensive and experimental creation lab brings together students from the Master’s in Interactive Digital Media (ESMAD) and the Master’s in Sound Art and Technology (ESMAE – School of Music and Performing Arts), as well as students from other programmes interested in interdisciplinary exploration of media arts and interaction, fostering cross-disciplinary experimentation.

The initiative takes place at the Casa Antero de Quental, as well as simultaneously at ESMAE and the ESMAD Blackbox. The projects developed will be presented to the public on the final day of the laboratory, 22 May.
