The Antero de Quental House, in Vila do Conde, will host the presentation of the latest book by Vítor Hugo Moreira (Recarei / Paredes, 1983), an actor, performer and author with several published works spanning poetry and poetic prose.
'Casulo' (2026) is his most recent self-published book and joins a body of work that includes 'Ventre' (2023), 'Poeira' (2022), the trilogy 'Resfeber', 'Raiz' and 'Corpo' (2018–2021), 'Degrau' (2016) and 'Devaneios' (2012), among others. He has organised poetry events such as Poetry Slam Porto and the Casa Bô sessions, was part of the Vadiação Poética programme on Rádio Manobras, and has promoted writing projects including Poesia de Café, Poesia é Para se Comer and Poemó'Corpo. He also participated in the III Festival Alguen que Respira, in Santiago de Compostela, and has contributed to several poetry anthologies in Portugal and Brazil.
With a foreword by Caio Di Palma, an afterword by Emmanuelle Guenot, and cover artwork by Teh Conceição Alexandre, Casulo is a journey through nights that emerge from thought, where the solitude of salty tears becomes the blue of days brightened by the peaceful acceptance of the human condition.
The book will be presented by Lia Wolf, the pen name of Eva Marques (Bragança, 1973), a passionate lover of literature, published in several anthologies and one of the authors behind the publishing house Minimalista. The event will also feature a musical accompaniment on the Portuguese guitar by guitarist, composer and teacher Carlos P. Semedo.
The presentation will take place on Friday, 10 July, at 5:30 p.m., and admission is free.
