The Nau Quinhentista hosts the workshop “Abayomi Cloth Dolls – Encounter of Two Brothers: Africa and Brazil”, an activity dedicated to exploring Afro-Brazilian traditions through handcrafted creation.

Inspired by Abayomi dolls — symbols of resistance, affection, and cultural memory — participants will be invited to learn about the history of these emblematic figures and create their own doll using simple fabric and tying techniques.

More than a creative workshop, this gathering promotes the sharing of stories, cultures, and connections between Africa and Brazil, valuing intangible heritage.
