Winner of the Golden Lion at the 82nd Venice Film Festival, this film written and directed by Jim Jarmusch is divided into three parts — Father, Mother, and Sister, Brother — and explores the bonds that endure despite distance and the passage of time.

Across the three stories, we follow brief encounters between parents, children, and siblings in different contexts and locations. The situations are simple, sometimes ordinary, and their meaning is built through small gestures and through what remains unsaid.
