ANIMAR 21 kicks off on Saturday, March 7, at 3:00 PM with the feature film Ângelo na Floresta Mágica (2024), directed by Alexis Ducord and Vincent Paronnaud.

The film is an adaptation of the comic book Dans la forêt sombre et mystérieuse by Vincent Paronnaud, published in 2016 and awarded the Pépite d’or at the Salon du Livre Jeunesse in Montreuil. It tells the story of Ângelo, a 10-year-old boy who dreams of becoming an adventurer and explorer. His courage is put to the test when, left behind at a train station, he decides to enter the mysterious forest, inhabited by strange creatures, to prove that he can survive its many challenges on his own.
